Install Day! Sonoma Mediterranean Mod
A few months ago we posted about a work-in-progress remodel in Sonoma that was underway, and we are thrilled to share some snaps from our install a few weeks ago! It was a major renovation of the full kitchen and two bathrooms, with new flooring, plaster fireplaces, and new furniture throughout. We’ll have professional photos taken later this year, but in the meantime, we hope you enjoy these updates!
THE Master Bedroom + BATH
Details matter, and although we brightened up every space as much as possible with white walls and tall drapes, we softened up the master bedroom with our signature mix of textured textiles from the ground up. Adding in a touch of accent color and black pieces to ground the space keep the room sophisticated and comfortable.
The most significant transformation definitely occurred in the master bathroom, for which we posted before pics, renderings, and construction pics in our previous post. The big reveal includes a completely new double-sink cabinet with marble countertop. We can’t wait to get this space professionally shot!
LIVING SPACeS
A few shots from the living room and breakfast nook below where we continued to have fun with accent colors, art, and textures. Lucky for us, the client has great taste and really allowed us to combine her love for mod pieces and our transitional neutral vibes. It’s all about creating cozy spaces with that Wine Country feel — we’re particularly obsessed with the hanging vine art from local vendor Artefact!
THE DINING ROOM
We embraced the original Mediterranean architecture (arches galore!) but updated the spaces throughout with large plank oak floors and plaster walls in a bright white. A new plaster fireplace in the same color as the walls provides a sculptural look and feel to both the dining and living rooms that we are all about! Playful, contemporary additions of the bubble chandeliers mixed with natural, black-framed caned chairs gave us just the right mix of modern + neutral + sophisticated we love and adore.
The Kitchen
The client is an avid chef so naturally her sights were set on the kitchen. We were honored to accommodate her with a professional range and hood of choice, to which we made more delicate with a custom Tabarka tile backsplash. The light kitchen cabinets and contrasting dark countertop with a special edge detail gives us all the feels!
