Ahhh to have a second home to escape to in Wine Country...what a dream! And what a dream for us to get to help this client remodel their Napa one-bedroom getaway. Unlike most properties nearby surrounded by grapevines, this property is uniquely situated in the middle of lush olive groves -- and a full wraparound porch on which to appreciate the view.

modernizing with A full FACELIFT
Rather than adding on the house, we decided to keep the existing footprint and instead invest in a full upgrade of materials, appliances, lighting, cabinetry, plumbing, and furniture throughout; every inch updated with our special Fletcher Rhodes touch. We installed new hardwood floors throughout to lighten up every room, removing the darker reddish Brazilian wood floors previously. New light fixtures, a shiplap fireplace surround, and the most amazing antique French doors from Chateau Sonoma close off the updated multi-function pantry/laundry room.

USING RENDERINGS IN THE DESIGN PROCESS
When designing the kitchen we presented renderings to explore the palette and island color choices, as well as the furniture selections and layout. Computer renderings are such an asset to the design process as the client can visualize the end result. (It’s amazing what can be done these days!)
